Every photoshoot starts with a Pinterest board full of ideas... and then the fun begins trying to make them happen.
For Framar's Pink & Cream merch collection, we knew we wanted the photos to feel bright, clean, and effortless. The kind of images that make you stop scrolling for a second. We wanted the merch to feel like something you'd genuinely want to wear or carry, while still staying true to Framar's playful personality.
One of the biggest pieces of the puzzle was finding the right studio. Being based in Niagara, it isn't always easy to find a space that fits a larger commercial shoot, especially when you're capturing both photo and video content in the same day. We ended up shooting at Black Frame Studios, and it couldn't have been a better fit. The space gave us plenty of room to move between sets, build different scenes, and keep everything running smoothly throughout the day.
Then came the models.
One of my favourite parts of this project is that we sourced everyone ourselves. We weren't working through an agency, just finding people who fit the vision and would bring the collection to life. It made the whole shoot feel a little more personal, and everyone brought such a fun energy to the day.
This wasn't just a photography day either. We were capturing campaign photography while our marketing team was creating video content at the same time, which meant there was always something happening. Outfits were changing, products were moving around, lights were being adjusted, and everyone was bouncing ideas off each other. It was definitely one of those all-hands-on-deck productions, but somehow everything came together.
One of my favourite things about working on commercial photography projects like this is seeing how many people contribute behind the scenes. By the time the collection launches, people see polished campaign images and aesthetic social posts, but there are so many moving pieces that happen long before launch day.
Looking back, I'm so happy with how the Pink & Cream collection turned out. The imagery feels fun, fresh, and true to the brand, and it was such a rewarding project to be a part of. Seeing the collection come to life across social media, the website, and marketing materials made all the planning, problem-solving, and long shoot day completely worth it.
Projects like this remind me why I love commercial photography so much. Every shoot is different, every brand has its own personality, and there's something really rewarding about helping bring an idea to life from the very first mood board to launch day.
